Marvel's Jessica Jones Nominated In MTV Fandom Awards



The nominations for the MTV Fandom Awards have been announced and the voting has begun.  Marvel's Jessica Jones has been nominated for Best New Fandom and is up against tough competition with the likes of Suicide Squad, Mr. Robot and Scream in the same category.

The series tells the story of Jessica Jones who, after a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.

Starring Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, David Tennant as Kilgrave, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Rachael Taylor as Patricia "Trish" Walker, and Carrie-Anne Moss. "Marvel's Jessica Jones" is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg ("Twilight", "Dexter") and Liz Friedman ("Elementary"), along with Jeph Loeb ("Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "Smallville," "Heroes"), who also serves as Marvel's Head of Television.

The MTV Fandom Awards ceremony will be held at San Diego Comic-Con and will be broadcast on Sunday 24th July at 8pm ET on MTV.

All Comic-Con badge holders are invited to the MTV’s Fandom Fest celebration at Petco Park on Thursday 21st at 6.30pm PT prior to the show’s 8pm taping.
