GRACEPOINT: Big Jump in Catch-Up Viewers For Premiere After 7 Days
Good news for Gracepoint - the final US Live +7 figures are now in for Fox TV for the week of September 29th. They reveal that the show has enjoyed a big hike in viewing figures over the seven days following the initial broadcast of the premiere episode on October 2nd.
Originally rated 1.1/3 share in the 18-49 adults demographic, the show jumped to 1.8/5 via catch up viewings, an increase of 64%. In actual viewer numbers the rise was even bigger, up 74% from 4.7 to 7 million.
Fox's top new show of the season is Gotham which rose +68% after seven days, from a 2.8/8 to a 4.7/14 among Adults 18-49 for its second episode, giving it a 5.4/16 average. Fox have been confident enough to order additional episodes of Gotham to bring it up to a full season of 22.
One of Fox's more troubled shows, Red Band Society, actually rose +73% in L7 from a 1.1/3 to a 1.9/6 for its third episode in that week.
Gracepoint, starring David Tennant and Anna Gunn follows the hunt for the killer of a young boy in a small coastal town in California where anyone could be a suspect. The ten-part event series continues with episode 4 on Thursday 23rd October at 9pm/8c on Fox.
