Matt Smith And Jenna Coleman Talk About Their 50th Anniversary Co-Stars

Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman have spoken about the thrill of filming the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special with David Tennant, Billie Piper and John Hurt.

Talking to Zap2It at San Diego Comic Con last weekend, Matt responded to the question of how it felt to be able to work with another Doctor:

"Amazing, they're great guys," he said, "And John Hurt, who is like a master class every day. Tennant is a wonderful Doctor and a wonderful bloke. Billie's just a dream. We had fun, you know?"

Jenna Coleman added,

"There were days where I just had to pinch myself. Just the image of the three Doctors together and I'd be in a scene with them. It's just a dream. I'm really the luckiest girl to have three Doctors! And just the way to watch them work and the way they interact, I'm really excited about it."

The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special will be screened on BBC One and BBC America on Saturday 23rd November. Matt Smith and David Tennant star as the Eleventh and Tenth Doctors with Jenna Coleman and Billie Piper as companions Clara and Rose in an epic battle against iconic foes the Daleks and the Zygons. John Hurt will also star as an as yet unknown facet of the Time Lord. Other confirmed names are Joanna Page, Jemma Redgrave and Ingrid Oliver. However, Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat has strongly hinted that there may be other surprise appearances as much of the special was filmed behind closed doors, and a rumour has circulated that Paul McGann, the Eighth Doctor, may also have shot scenes.
