PHOTOS: What We Did On Our Holiday Filming Update

Filming on the new BBC Films production What We Did On Our Holiday moved to Doune near Stirling today. David Tennant and Rosamund Pike were observed filming scenes around the village centre, where local florists Jennifer's Flowers had been transformed for the day to stand in as a hotel. They also filmed shots outside the Red Lion Inn.

Flickr user Duncan Kirkhope, aka Brechindunc, snapped some shots of David in action outside the 'hotel'.

On Twitter, Shaun Maher (@Shaun4Maher) came across filming on his way back from work and also took a few shots.

What We Did On Our Holiday stars David Tennant and Rosamund Pike as Doug and Abi, a couple on the verge of divorce, who undertake a trip to Scotland with their children for a family celebration. Billy Connolly, Ben Miller, Amelia Bullmore and Celia Imrie also star, along with Emilia Jones, Bobby Smalldridge and Harriet Turnbull, who play the couple's three children. Written and directed by Outnumbered creators Guy Jenkin and Andy Hamilton, the film uses the same semi-improvisational techniques employed in the hit BBC comedy series. What We Did On Our Holiday is a co-production between BBC Fims and Origin Pictures with additional funding from Creative Scotland. It will be shooting on location in Scotland until 3rd August and is scheduled for a 2014 cinematic release.
