Shakespeare Uncovered Comes To Australian TV



Australian fans will soon be able to watch David Tennant's documentary on Hamlet as part of the series Shakespeare Uncovered.

The series, originally seen on BBC Four and BBC Two in the UK, is showing on Sunday nights at 10.30pm on ABC1. The first episode, presented by Joely Richardson and exploring the comedies of Shakespeare, was shown tonight but is still available to view again via ABC iView. The series continues next Sunday as Ethan Hawke takes a look at Macbeth, while Sir Derek Jacobi presents the show on Richard II on March 10th.


About the series

Six Shakespearean actors and directors - Joely Richardson, Jeremy Irons, Derek Jacobi, Trevor Nunn, Ethan Hawke and David Tennant - research the revered dramatist and reveal the stories behind and the wonders within some of his greatest plays.

The date of David's programme is yet to be confirmed but is likely to be towards the end of March.
